Short version: Use Decode Strength fairly and honestly. Pay for what you use. Your data is yours. We can suspend accounts that abuse the service.
By creating an account or using Decode Strength (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). The Service is operated by Decode Strength ("we", "us", "our"), Bengaluru, India.
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
Decode Strength provides a personal athletic dashboard that aggregates your training and health data from connected sources (Strava, Android Health Connect, Intervals.icu) and displays them at a public URL (username.decodestrength.com) and in the Decode Strength Android app.
The Service includes:
Eligibility: You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. By creating an account, you confirm that you are at least 13.
Your handle: Your handle (username) is permanent. Once chosen, it cannot be changed. Choose carefully.
Your account: You are responsible for keeping your password secure. Do not share your account with others. Notify us immediately at support@decodestrength.com if you believe your account has been compromised.
Accurate information: You agree to provide accurate information when creating your account. Do not impersonate other people or use misleading handles.
Free trial: New accounts receive a 7-day free trial with full access to your public dashboard. No credit card is required to start.
After the trial: If you do not subscribe before your trial ends, your public dashboard is archived (hidden from visitors). Your account and data are preserved. The dashboard is restored immediately when you subscribe.
Android app: The Decode Strength Android app is free and has no subscription requirement. You can use the app to manage your races and view your private analytics regardless of your dashboard subscription status.
Subscriptions: Pro subscriptions are billed annually or monthly via Razorpay. Prices are shown at decodestrength.com/pricing and at the time of purchase.
Renewals: Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period. We send a reminder email 14 days before renewal. You can cancel at any time from Settings → Billing.
Cancellation: Cancelling stops future charges. Your dashboard remains active until the end of your paid period, then is archived. Data is retained for 90 days after cancellation then deleted.
Refunds: We do not offer refunds for partial subscription periods. If you experience a technical issue that prevents you from using the Service, contact us and we will consider a credit or extension on a case-by-case basis.
Price changes: We will give at least 30 days notice before changing subscription prices. Price changes take effect at your next renewal.
Your data is yours. We claim no ownership over your training data, health data, or any content you add (race details, notes, personal bests). You can export or delete it at any time.
What you give us permission to do: By using the Service, you give us permission to store and display your data as described in our Privacy Policy — specifically to power your dashboard and app. We do not use your data for any other purpose.
Public dashboard: You are responsible for what appears on your public dashboard. By choosing to make your dashboard public, you consent to anyone with the URL viewing the information displayed there.
Third-party data: Your Strava activities are subject to Strava's Terms of Service. Your Health Connect data is subject to your device manufacturer's and app developer's terms. We are not responsible for data obtained from third-party sources.
You agree not to:
The Service uses the Strava API. By connecting your Strava account, you also agree to Strava's Terms of Service. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by Strava. Strava may change or restrict their API at any time, which could affect features of the Service.
The Service displays health and fitness data for informational purposes only. Nothing in the Service constitutes medical advice. Do not make medical or health decisions based on data shown in the Service. Consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical advice.
Health data shown in the Service (heart rate, HRV, sleep, SpO₂) is derived from consumer wearable devices and should not be used as a substitute for clinical measurement.
Uptime: We aim to keep the Service available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may perform maintenance which temporarily makes the Service unavailable.
Changes to the Service: We may add, change, or remove features at any time. We will try to give reasonable notice of significant changes that remove functionality you rely on.
Shutting down: If we ever shut down the Service entirely, we will give at least 60 days notice and provide a way for you to export your data.
The Decode Strength name, logo, Decode Score system, Runner Archetype system, and all original content in the Service are our intellectual property. You may not use them without our written permission.
Your training data and personal information remain yours. See Section 5.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
By you: You can close your account at any time from Settings → Account → Delete Account. This deletes all your data within 30 days.
By us: We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or create multiple accounts to circumvent the trial period. We will give notice where possible before terminating an account, except in cases of serious violations.
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.
We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and send you an email if the changes significantly affect your rights. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.
